Animal Behavior and Rescue in Emergency Management
To prepare Alabama Mutual Aid System (AMAS) team members with basic knowledge of animal behavior and rescue that may be found in the search and rescue environment. Students will learn basic traits and signs of animals in distress and how to evacuate them to safety.
Canine Search
To prepare Alabama Mutual Aid System (AMAS) team members with basic knowledge of how to utilize canine search as a resource during emergency situations. Students will learn the strategic benefit canines provide to search efforts and a basic understanding of what the canine is searching for and how the canine communicates.
